Hello and welcome to Nordic Scents, an artisan, woman-owned and operated small candle business. We mindfully produce small batch luxury soy candles in Minnesota with a focus on health and environmental sustainability.

Nordic Scents candles are inspired by the clean scents found in the woods and waters of Minnesota and its Scandinavian heritage. Of Danish descent, founder Kirsten Hall Long always loved the warmth and coziness (the “hygge”) that candles can provide, yet struggled to find natural and lightly scented options appropriate for her migraine scent sensitivities. What started as a hobby has now become a passion to produce nature inspired soy candles with clean, ethical, and sustainable components. Nordic Scents is a proud member of 1% for the Planet and supports non-profit partners working on a diverse range of environmental issues. In 2023 our business was awarded a gold level Green Business Award by Sustainable Stillwater and was recognized in Spring of 2024 as an Editor’s Pick in Midwest Yoga and Life Magazine.
